Priming systems with liquid ring vacuum pumps
The selection of suitable priming systems for evacuating centrifugal pumps depends on whether they have to be evacuated only before or also during pump operation. Re-evacuation during pump operation is necessary due to outgassing of the pumped medium, air-pulling vortices at the suction pipe inlet and leaks in the priming system. Priming systems with liquid ring vacuum pumps work independently of the specific weight of the pumped medium and are therefore also suitable for re-evacuations during operation of the centrifugal pumps.
